Description
• This 2-piece instrument consists of an L-shaped piece and an inverted L-shaped piece joined
by their vertical arms, which are marked with a millimetric scale
• The curvature of the horizontal arms enables the instrument to adapt to the dorsal area of
the metatarsal heads
• The curvature of the vertical arms reflects the movement of inversion and eversion that
the first ray undergoes during dorsiflexion and plantarflexion, and its design is
based on mathematical calculations
• Simple, lightweight, portable and easy to use
SPECIFICATIONS
Instructions for Use:
1. Place the patient in a seated or supine position with the foot relaxed.
2. With one hand, hold the longest horizontal arm of the instrument on the dorsal surface from
the second to the fifth metatarsal heads, so that the vertical arm is positioned over the
second metatarsal.
3. With the other hand, hold the shorter horizontal arm on the dorsal surface of the first
metatarsal head.
4. Move the first ray in dorsiflexion and plantarflexion without applying too much pressure to
the instrument over the forefoot.
