Interpod orthotic additions are used to fine tune and improve orthotic prescription outcomes.  
Decreased ankle dorsiflexion benefits from the use of a heel lift, they also increase ankle    
dorsiflexion. They are also used as rearfoot wedges on the orthotic heel to increase control.
